Perkins State Leadership Grants

Overview

There are two Perkins State Leadership Grants opportunities for institutions of higher education in Texas. The Perkins Field Based Innovation Program (FIP), previously known as “Leadership”, and the Carl D. Perkins Excellence in Access and Opportunity Program (PEAOP) are supported by Perkins State Leadership funds.

Below you will find the Request for Applications (RFA) for FIP and PEAOP. Both programs incorporate evidence-based grant design features. Categorizations of various evidence-based levels are also detailed in the current fiscal year (FY) 2025 Leadership Grant RFA and PEAOP RFA. These RFAs will phase out on August 31, 2026, and mark the end of both grant programs.
