Note:

During the calendar year 2020, Drs. Greer and Wu and a research assistant (RA) will analyze the data and write reports. Specifically, the RA will be in charge of data entry and preliminary data analyses. Dr. Greer will review the existing literature, form operational research hypotheses and questions, and write reports. Dr. Wu will conduct data analyses and build a Structure Equation Model. The ultimate goal of this project is to build a theory that explains the motivations and adoptions of hazard adjustment measures. We expect to send manuscripts to peer-review journals such as Natural Hazards, Natural Hazard Reviews, Earthquake Spectra, etc. The ressearch team also plans to attend major conferences and workshops when traveling is possible. This data will also be deposited to Natural Hazard Center’s Convergence Group Data Sharing Platform eventually.
