What is TXWORKS?

TXWORKS Is a paid Internship opportunity developed exclusively for Texas undergraduate students and employers.

TXWORKS Internships Offer Eligible Students Opportunities To:

  • $20.00 per hour paid Internship opportunities. 

  • Minimum of 8 weeks / 96 hours Internship opportunities. *Employers determine Interns' work schedules and may exceed minimum requirements of 8 weeks / 96 hours. 

  • Career path and skill development working with a TXWORKS employer.

Eligibility requirements Include: 

  • Texas Residency  

  • FAFSA completed for one of the academic periods between 2019-2022. 

  • A Student Aid Report (SAR) with an EFC between $0 and $10,000. 

  • Must be a high school graduate, GED or high school equivalent program. 

  • Enrolled in 6 or more semester hours as an undergraduate student seeking a credential at a Texas college or university
