The Nursing Innovation Grant Program (NIGP) is an initiative to help address the state’s nursing shortage. NIGP was established by the 76th Texas Legislature in 1999 and codified in Texas Education Code Section 63.202 (f) and (g) to help relieve the state’s nursing shortage.
