The primary purpose of this agreement is to validate performance of molecular diagnostic techniques for Mexican fruit fly populations and support analysis of trapped flies. This project will deliver protocol and validation summary report for the method and identification profiles for flies from various field collected and lab reared material. 1. A collection of fruit fly DNA from Anastrepha ludens to support pathway analysis and comparison of population genetic diversity 2. A PPQ protocol for SNP typing. 3. A report on performance of method for analysis of mexflies Report on genetic diversity of the colonies and filed collections to assess diversity of the pest over time and space
