Research faculty from the College of Business and Entrepreneurship and College of Engineering, led by the PI, faculty, staff, and graduate research fellows are proposing to create an additional component to already existing classes at The University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) where students, energy industry leaders, and research faculty collaborate to address a significant social and environmental problem in the area of clean energy generation. Students from the Colleges of Engineering and Business and Entrepreneurship, mentored by faculty and industry partners, will pursue innovative solutions by creating or refining products, processes, or services in an open, creative, and challenging atmosphere during a weekend-long "Green Energy Entrepreneurship Challenge
