The purpose of this project is to investigate the ways in which the network of support for preservice teachers can be strengthened through coaching in a virtual environment. Our project will focus on four different virtual environments where coaching may occur: 1) virtual reality (i.e. coaching within Mursion), 2) video resources (e.g. Atlas), 3) K-12 virtual classrooms, 4) TEP virtual classrooms. These four areas respond to changes in classroom contexts during Covid-19, but also relate to the ongoing goal of increasing access to a cohesive network of high quality coaching supports for teacher candidates. Research goals will adapt to changing contexts and the work of the Clinical Field Experiences (CFE) NIC.
