Note:

This research project is about characterizing material microstructure and mechanical properties of 3DP printed metal alloy parts (the “Research Program”). For purposes of the Research Program, HAL will provide UNT metal parts printed under different printing conditions. UNT will extract testing samples needed and conduct microstructure and mechanical property evaluation of printed parts. UNT will be responsible for: a. Conducting microstructure (optical, SEM, EBSD) and mechanical properties (mini-tensile, hardness, mini-fatigue) evaluation of 3DP parts printed under different vacuum conditions. b. Comparing the microstructure and mechanical properties of 3DP part printed under vacuum with non-vacuum conditions. c. Summarizing research findings in Powerpoint reports it provides to HAL. d. Following the delivery deadlines set forth under the Research Program Schedule below.
