This is Restricted Research. This project is Research-Applied. The project will develop hybrid courses in the areas of Cybersecurity and Machine Learning (ML) to educate qualified individuals from diverse communities to fill a gap for the need of a qualified and educated cybersecurity workforce. Five modular courses will be offered to graduate students and will be developed as hybrid courses, which make use of both instructor led and student directed learning modalities, in order to study differences, if any, in learning outcomes between these two different approaches. The course modules to be developed will take advantage of the research that is being conducted in ML and CyS and incorporate the results of the project into the activities of the CSG (Computer Security Group), UTD's CyS student club, and the annual Texas Security Awareness Week (TexSAW) event, which will serve as an outreach effort to recruit students for the NSF SFS program. The project results will be disseminated by organizing workshops, e.g. at ACM & IEEE conferences and CISSE )Colloquium for Information Systems Security Education).
