Research - The purpose of this study is to better understand higher education the experiences of campus diversity officers and trainers’ experiences when implementing and/or delivering mandatory diversity trainings created in response to a racist incident. Research Questions: What events do diversity officers and trainers describe as having led to their colleges and universities announcing/implementing mandatory diversity trainings on their campuses? How do diversity officers and trainers describe their experiences with developing and implementing mandatory diversity trainings at their institutions? How do diversity officers and trainers describe the reactions and feedback of the campus community to the mandatory diversity trainings that have been announced and/or implemented? Our main method of data collection will be in-depth semi-structured interviews.
