SAMS 1.3.1 Includes IRB. Texas A&M University-Kingsville (TAMUK), a Minority Serving Institution (MSI) in South Texas, is leading the effort to develop a MSl-led coalition to promote the education of underrepresented, underprivileged, and underserved minority sectors of the South Texas in Aerospace Engineering and its related STEM fields. In this planning project, the project team will develop the conceptual ideas and a comprehensive action plan to develop parallel pathways of excellence to engage minority students in Aerospace Engineering in South Texas. The research project will develop, test and assess different interventon activities that integrate various levels of mentoring, research experiences to improve learning, retention, and preparation of students, especially Hispanic and women.
