SAMS 1.1.1 The goal of this collaborative research proposal is to study and validate the fundamental behavior of a dry-wet phase inversion GO-based membranes for the separation of mineral ions from impaired waters, such as produced water. The research objectives of this proposal are: 1) determine the pathwas for GO-based membranes by dry-wet phase inversion; 2) determine the ions retention on dry-wet phase inversion GO-based membranes in MD. This study will provide the tools to engineer membranes that will help advance MD as a feasible process for treating highly complex impaired water.
