SAMS 1.1.1 We are mapping known and potential clay lamas in this project using GIS and Remote Sensing. We are conducting detailed soil and vegetation sampling on the lomas, and conduct a search for Texas tortoises using a conservation detection dog. All Texas tortoise locations will be marked with GPS. Finally, we are using soil, vegetation, and Texas tortoise density data to rate the condition and quality of clay lomas for Texas tortoise habitat.
