Texas Higher Education Foundation

About the Foundation

Established in 2001, the Texas Higher Education Foundation is the official nonprofit partner of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB). The Foundation’s mission is to foster and further evidence-based initiatives that positively impact postsecondary outcomes in Texas.

With a focus on raising funds, building partnerships, and implementing strategies that support the state’s higher education priorities, the Foundation has raised more than $23 million to advance higher education in Texas.

The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) 509 (a)(3), Type I corporation and a GuideStar Platinum nonprofit. This is the highest level of recognition offered by GuideStar and demonstrates the Foundation’s commitment to sharing detailed measures of progress and transparency.
